IT Security Engineer The IT Security Engineer is responsible for planning, testing, implementing, and maintaining security tools and solutions across a variety of on-premise and cloud environments. This individual will collaborate on multiple security-related projects, working with team members within the IT organization as well as with other internal business units. Job Duties Test, install, document, and maintain a variety of security tools and solutions Collaborate with IT and other internal teams on implementing security best practices Perform and coordinate vulnerability testing for a variety of systems Identify threats and develop remediation plans to reduce security risks to the company Provide technical expertise and coordination during IT security incident responses Act as the point of escalation for security alerts from our internal SOC Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities and reduce threats Assist in periodic information security risk assessments to ensure that information systems are adequately protected and meet security objectives Perform and coordinate activities related to the company s security awareness training program Work with the IT compliance team and external auditors to provide supporting evidence for security controls Stay up to date on security trends, threat intelligence, and changes in security policies, technologies, and regulations
