Full Stack WordPress Developer (4 Years Experience)
Brief About Role:
We maintain, design, and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins, aiming to use minimal third-party plugins to enhance security and scalability. This role is not suitable for developers who have only worked on basic theme setups or made minor customizations in CSS or PHP.
This is a challenging maintenance role where you must analyze existing codebases, understand flows, debug thoroughly, estimate effectively, and resolve issues quickly when possible.
This position is ideal for candidates with strong frontend and backend fundamentals and practical WordPress knowledge. You must be capable of handling all aspects of WordPress development independently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality WordPress websites.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project specifications.
- Optimize website performance, scalability, and security.
- Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Convert PSD / Figma designs into responsive, functional websites.
- Implement and optimize Google PageSpeed, GTmetrix, and similar performance tools.
- Implement and customize the WordPress REST API and third-party API integrations (server-to-server & client-to-server).
- Work with WooCommerce: customize templates, manage payment gateways, and handle order processing.
- Debug and troubleshoot theme and plugin issues.
- Handle complex database queries, caching, and optimization strategies.
- Ensure SEO best practices and mobile responsiveness.
- Deploy and manage websites on cPanel, VPS, or cloud hosting environments.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2 3 years of hands-on experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS (with Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS).
- Experience with Git version control is mandatory.
- Expertise with WP_Query, hooks (actions & filters), shortcodes, widgets, block development, and custom post types.
- Understanding of WordPress Cron jobs, REST API, and AJAX.
- Good understanding of WordPress security, input validation, and data sanitization.
- Experience working with WooCommerce and integrating third-party APIs.
- Comfortable working with page builders like Elementor, Gutenberg, and WPBakery.
- Experience developing custom Gutenberg blocks.
- Familiar with WordPress Multisite environments.
- Exposure to Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Facebook Pixel integration.
