Key Roles and Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical components for data centers to highest standards and demanding requirements Provide mechanical design for new data center solutions developments Responsible for the mechanical design discipline Responsible for the design of mechanical parts and assemblies Calculate loading capacities and resistances of mechanical components for data center projects Calculate loading capacities of joints welded, bolted, riveted, and other Develop calculation documents and load testing procedures Arranging Bill of Material and services required for project execution Communicate with various stakeholders to design the best solution possible Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers choice of products, suppliers, subcontractors Quality control of suppliers and subcontractors May perform solution test procedures for internal control and acceptance testing Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Good at time management and being able to work well under pressure Well organised with a particular ability to pay attention to detail Possess the ability to engage with various stakeholders (internal and external) Has a solution-based mindset Display the ability to collaborate and facilitate an understanding of technical issues An ability and willingness to think outside of the box to find creative and innovative solutions to reduce costs with no impact on quality and reliability. Ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data centre equipment and facilities. CAD software AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk REVIT FEM analysis stress, displacement and 3d modelling and visualization Academic Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor s degree or equivalent in Mechanical engineering or related Required Experience: Prior demonstrated experience in mechanical design Demonstrated experience in Data Center mechanical design applications
