Job Summary Prerequisites
  • B. Tech./ B.E., M. Tech/M.E. in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
  • 4-5 years of first-hand experience in frontend development and problem solving.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Highly skilled at front-end development using Object-Oriented JavaScript (and Design Patterns), various JavaScript libraries and micro frameworks (jQuery, Angular, Prototype, Backbone etc), HTML and CSS.
  • Built complex, responsive and visually appealing frontend applications.
  • Sound knowledge of HTML 5 and CSS (both versions 2 and 3).
  • Solid knowledge JavaScript including
    • Knowledge of the operators, variables, datatypes, objects, properties and methods.
    • Familiarity with control structures such as objects, functions, conditional statements, arrays, loops and expressions.
    • Forms, regular expression validation and submitting data.
    • Knowledge of how to apply logical operators and conditional statements.
    • Knowledge of the DOM HTML objects and their properties.
    • Event handling.
  • Sound knowledge of XML and JSON.
  • Ability to interact with web server via AJAX and parse JSON/XML response.
  • Good understanding on web browsers including testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility for inconsistencies, methods for degrading gracefully for older browsers and displays.
  • Programming interaction with JavaScript and/or a library such as jQuery, YUI, Prototype etc
  • for visual effects, event handling, and document manipulation.
  • Well versed with client side processes/tools for troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Working knowledge of core Java and JSP/Servlets is required.
  • Ability to take high levels of ownership and commitment.
  • Experience with Travel domain / building Business-to-Business (B2B) portals would be an additional plus.
