Job Summary

Must Have :

  • Proven working experience in technical writing for Software Application (3+ years of experience preferred)
  • Excellent written communication skills and command over English grammar
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, WordPress
  • Ability to deliver high quality documents with great attention to detail
  • Ability to interview developer, understand the module/feature, quickly grasp complex technical concepts and document it for users to understand easily
  • Familiarity with the requirement management, SDLC, ALM will be added advantage
  • Very good organizing skills to maintain repository of drafted, published and edited documents, category and subject wise

Job roles and responsibilities

  • Create technical documents, instruction manuals and other supporting documents for complex applications which will act as guide and reduce cognitive load of the user/customer
  • Interact & interview team members to understand application domain, functionality
  • Adhere to Company defined standards, guidelines and checklists
  • Understanding user point-of-view and writing easy-to-understand articles
  • Maintain same standard of content across different components and medium
  • Edit, standardize, update material drafted/created by others
  • Keep records of any documentation created, modified or published and keep all stake holders in loop
  • Explore the application, develop interest to acquire domain knowledge
  • Communicate complex technical information in consistent and correct format
  • Demonstrate excellent English written & verbal communication skills
  • Learn and adapt to different documentation tools
  • Actively participate to improve the quality of documentation support provided to user/customer
