Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Lead / Engineer to join our project engineering team in Noida. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the detailed engineering and design of electrical systems for large-scale industrial projects in sectors such as oil & gas, refineries, petrochemicals, and fertilizers. This role requires expertise in electrical design software, strong technical evaluation skills, and experience delivering engineering deliverables in line with project and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical System Design
- Translate project and client requirements into detailed electrical system designs.
- Develop electrical load lists, single line diagrams (SLDs), schematic diagrams, cable schedules, and material take-offs (MTOs) using SmartPlant Electrical or equivalent tools.
Engineering Deliverables
- Execute detailed engineering for electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and instrumentation power supply.
- Prepare engineering documentation in compliance with relevant codes and client specifications.
Technical Evaluation
- Review vendor bids and perform technical bid evaluations (TBE).
- Provide technical support during procurement and coordinate with suppliers as required.
Project Execution Support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and procurement to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and vendor discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 20 years of experience in electrical design for process plants or similar environments
- Proficient in SmartPlant Electrical, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering tools
- Solid understanding of industry standards and codes (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC, IS standards)
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Prior experience in EPC projects is highly desirable
