Power Bi Solution Designer Job in Onwardpath

This role entails end-to-end BI solutions design in a client facing role coordinating with business teams providing proactive analytics solutions in the APJ region, also align with the global IT where needed. The role needs to provide both analytics and advanced analytics solutions, implement PoCs/pilots, etc., enable story telling of business use-cases through Power BI analytics. This role caters to critical business areas like Inventory, E&O and Backlog; enable data driven decisions to improve demand forecast, and help in reduction of E&O inventory by $90M across APJ. The BI Solution designer needs to have strong knowledge on BI solutioning including but not limited to the below: Analyze current BI landscape and identify areas of improvement Understand the users/personas, analytics use-cases and related business processes etc. Enable BI Story Telling using native features of Power BI or with suitable work-arounds Provide recommendations and best practices for analytics requests intake and processing from various business and customer personas Work with department leaders to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and methods of dashboard that present relevant and actionable data. Act as a Microsoft Power BI, visualization, and dash-boarding subject matter expert through BI development activities Recommendations and requirements for use of external tools by advanced content creators Security, privacy, and data protection requirements, and allowed actions for content assigned to each sensitivity label Recommendations and requirements for content ownership and management, content distribution Provide design and processes to work with regulated data and highly sensitive data Application lifecycle management for managing content through its entire lifecycle, including development, test, and production stages Requirements to use standardized master data and common data definitions to improve consistency across datasets and reports Additional requirements applicable to critical content, such as data quality verifications and documentation Best practices on managing Data pipelines and On Premise Gateways. Effective communication storytelling: expert in various verbal, written, and visual communication mediums to explain key patterns and trends. Prior experience interacting extensively with users. Project experience in areas such as process mapping, root cause/gap analysis/best fit, requirements gathering / definition development, financial modeling, and value mapping. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; Power BI & SQL skills preferred. Overall experience of 12+ years, with Power BI experience of 7+ years.
