Competencies Cassandra DB Admin

• Strong knowledge in deploying Cassandra cluster across multiple locations
• Maintain production Cassandra clusters and daily Operations; upgrade; and meeting application needs.
• Provide application development teams with basic data modeling advice.
• Plan for long-term Cassandra architecture and capacity. The requirements of our largest cluster are roughly doubling in 2016.
• Troubleshoot Cassandra performance problems on a variety of underlying storage models.
• Streamline operations with our configuration management system.
• Work with the rest of the Operations team to achieve our overall goals.
• Experience with linux systems
• Familiarity with Python
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work both independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment
