Job Title: Quality Analyst

We are seeking talented Quality Analysts who are eager to contribute to the development of scalable and secure functionality within our Quality platform. As a part of a team of seasoned professionals, you will have the opportunity to share knowledge, learn new skills, and play a crucial role in improving the quality of our products.

Primary Objectives:

  • Complete training sessions provided by senior team members and the Team Leader.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Test Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile Methodology.

  • Review requirement specifications to identify gaps, assess testability, and determine testing implications.

  • Create test plans, test scenarios, and test cases using TestLink.

  • Execute test cases and document results in TestLink.

  • Gain insight into the Bug Life Cycle and report bugs using Redmine.

  • Continuously learn new testing methods and tackle new challenges.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct testing for mobile applications and websites.

  • Focus on enhancing the testing process and improving efficiency.

  • Adhere to QA processes and follow guidelines set by the Team Leader.

  • Develop test plans, requirement specifications, test scenarios, and test cases as directed by the Senior Test Lead/Team Leader.

  • Execute test cases in line with the test plans.

  • Perform various types of testing, including regression, integration, platform, performance, user acceptance, UI, and more, to ensure software stability.

  • Report bugs and errors according to established procedures.

  • Take responsibility for creating and executing test cases for new and updated products or components.

  • Suggest improvements to testing processes.

  • Contribute to improving application performance and product quality.

  • Follow instructions from Senior QA and Team Leader to complete testing tasks.

  • Provide daily progress reports to the Team Leader.

  • Assist in training junior QA team members.

  • Continuously update and improve technical skills and knowledge.

Technical Skills You Should Have:

  • Strong ability to learn new techniques and technologies quickly.

  • Solid knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

  • Familiarity with the Bug Life Cycle.

  • Experience with different types of testing, including regression, integration, smoke, sanity, black-box, usability, and alpha testing.

  • Proficiency in creating test plans, requirement specifications, test scenarios, and test cases.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable test cases.

  • Creativity and initiative to improve and optimize product test cases.

  • Strong skills in identifying, isolating, and communicating bugs effectively.

  • Proficiency with Redmine bug tracking tool.

  • Excellent collaboration skills, working effectively with team members and other departments.

  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.

  • Basic knowledge of automation testing is a plus.

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, B.Tech (CSE/IT), BCA, MCA.

  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a QA Tester.
