Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled E-beam Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of electron beam (e-beam) machines used in the curing process for wires and cables. This position is critical to ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety in the manufacturing process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor e-beam machines for wire and cable curing.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintain accurate operational records.
  • Monitor production output and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  • Follow strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with radiation safety guidelines as instructed by RSO (Radiation Safety Officer).
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics relevant to the curing process.
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to identify and correct defects.
  • Maintain knowledge of rewinding machine defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all safety equipment is used properly.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience operating e-beam machines (preferred in cable manufacturing industry).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with defect control, rewinding machines, and production quality checks.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols in handling e-beam or radiation-emitting equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic cable and wire production standards.
  • Proficiency in recording accurate data and performing quality checks.
  • BARC Certification (mandatory) for working with Gamma and Electron Beam equipment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior work in the cable manufacturing industry with direct e-beam machine handling.
  • Exposure to radiation safety and working under the guidance of RSO.
