Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Deputy General Manager Business Finance to serve as a key business partner to leadership, driving financial planning, strategic decision support, and cost management initiatives. The ideal candidate will blend strong financial acumen with excellent business insight, playing a critical role in aligning financial strategies with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Partner with business leaders to drive strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Analyze financial performance through variance analysis and provide actionable insights and corrective recommendations.
  • Develop and present financial dashboards and insights to support executive decision-making.
• 2. Business Partnering
  • Collaborate with functional heads to ensure financial alignment with operational and strategic goals.
  • Advise on business decisions, investment opportunities, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor, translating complex financial data into meaningful business insights.
• 3. Management Reporting
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for senior management.
  • Provide deep-dive analysis on trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic direction.
  • Ensure accuracy and clarity in all financial reporting outputs.
• 4. Cost Management & Efficiency
  • Monitor operating expenses, support cost control measures, and identify efficiency opportunities across the business.
  • Drive initiatives to optimize resource utilization and reduce unnecessary expenditure.
  • Ensure alignment of cost structures with business strategies.
• 5. Decision Support & Strategic Insights
  • Evaluate the financial feasibility of new projects, product launches, business cases, and expansion plans.
  • Provide scenario planning and risk assessments for key business decisions.
  • Support strategic initiatives by delivering robust financial models and business impact assessments.
• 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with HR, IT, procurement, and other departments to ensure financial rigor across organizational functions.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including auditors, consultants, and tax advisors, to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives such as systems implementation, performance improvement programs, and process enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• MBA or professional qualifications (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) are a strong advantage.
• 8 10 years of relevant experience in business finance, FP&A, or strategic finance roles preferably in a corporate or dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools, including ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, business strategy, and financial modeling techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders and work across business levels.
• Highly analytical and results-oriented, with a proven track record in driving financial performance improvements.
