Job Summary

  • As a Scrum Master at BANK's IT department, you will play a vital role in facilitating the adoption and execution of Agile principles and practices within the organization.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to support and guide the software development teams in implementing Scrum methodologies effectively.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Agile Facilitation: Act as a servant leader, facilitating the Agile process and ensuring the Scrum framework is followed consistently. Help the team to identify and overcome obstacles, foster a collaborative and self-organizing environment, and promote continuous improvement.
  • Team Support: Coach and mentor the development teams, Product Owner, and stakeholders in Agile principles, values, and practices. Assist the team in defining project goals, user stories, and prioritizing work to maximize value delivery.
  • Scrum Events: Facilitate various Scrum events, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure that these events are well-structured, timeboxed, and focused on achieving the desired outcomes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration between team members and stakeholders. Act as a liaison between the development team and other departments, ensuring transparency, shared understanding, and alignment.
  • Agile Metrics and Reporting: Help establish and monitor Agile metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the team's progress and identify areas for improvement. Provide timely and accurate reports on the team's velocity, sprint burndown, and other relevant metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Facilitate regular retrospectives to identify and implement process enhancements, best practices, and lessons learned.
  • Agile Adoption: Assist in the adoption of Agile practices and frameworks across the organization. Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile coaches to share knowledge, resolve challenges, and promote a consistent Agile mindset.


Education & experience

  • Solid understanding and experience with Agile principles and methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading Agile teams and delivering software projects in an iterative and incremental manner.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and build relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and resolve conflicts, impediments, and bottlenecks that hinder team productivity.
  • Proficient in using Agile project management tools and software development tools.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) are desirable.
