Job Summary Meet Our Team:

Pegas Runtime Engine Alliance delivers core capabilities to run our Clients Pega Infinity Applications and our Pega Cloud Services Business at scale. We deliver two convergent runtimes: 1) the existing and evolving Engine as a Service, and 2) a revolutionary new Cloud Native Runtime. Both runtimes enable the cost-effective, performant, scalable, upgradable, reliable, and resilient operation of our offerings with a modern microservices-based architecture, best-in-class technologies, and a frictionless client experience.

In this role, you will drive the design and development of world class products for our customers and partners by applying modern and cutting-edge technologies. You will be part of the team that will be responsible for driving the most important and strategic project in the entire company to develop the next generation product set. The team will be responsible for leading the efforts on maintaining the current core engine of the Pega platform and build out the next generation using micro services architecture. This is your chance to support interesting customer use cases by providing your thought leadership to teams and help influence the product roadmaps.

What You'll Do at Pega:
  • Work with senior management and peers from other groups within the division and company, to develop practices which lead to the highest quality products
  • Collaborate closely with Alliance leader to build an environment that empowers scrum teams to deliver on the product vision
  • Be the voice of the Alliance leader in Hyderabad
  • Work in close collaboration with other alliances, tribes, and squads to remove impediment and promote teams collaboration
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching of fellow engineers
  • Promote code excellence and lead scrum teams to continuous improvement
  • Ensure a high level of quality through adequate test coverage for teams, ensure teams have mechanisms in place to catch problems (e.g., code reviews, running smoke tests), and closely monitor team bug levels
  • Initiate and manage efforts to improve the quality of the product. Ensure the scrum teams adopt a high standard of quality
  • Ensure teams have the tools and resources to work efficiently
  • Challenge solutions proposed by scrum teams or architects by helping them to grow and learMotivate, oversee, and grow the scrum teams as appropriate
  • Empower scrum teams to take initiatives, foster innovation
  • Collect feedback from peers and provide direct, honest, and constructive developmental feedback to achieve high performance and career growth
  • Coach staff to levels of fluency and performance excellence
  • Recruit and hire new talent; swiftly remediate poor performance

  • BA/BS/MS Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 16+ years related work experience
  • Ability to promote a shared vision of success, translate that vision into an operational plan, and work collaboratively and cross-functionally to achieve a positive outcome in the face of obstacles, challenges and set-backs
