Job Summary
Your responsibilities:
  • Build and evangelize short-term and long-term product vision in close collaboration with internal stakeholders in product management, and other engineering teams including Client Services Team.
  • Drive key product engineering initiatives & multiple concurrent software development programs by partnering with Client Services and other stakeholders.
  • Provide cross-functional project and program management leadership to ensure the successful and predictable delivery of Products and associated services.
  • Plan & execute key initiatives and processes that enables efficient product development, strong quality assurance and predictable delivery
  • Understanding client requirements and meeting client expectations by assisting product Managers in developing and executing product development strategies.
  • Demonstrate a bias towards action and completing projects on time, with a high bar for customer success and quality
  • Overseeing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders, keeping all parties coordinated on the progress and deadlines for all projects.
  • Report on risks, implement risk reduction plans, report on progress and otherwise provide project support to help ensure high quality, on-time delivery.
  • Drive standardization of best practices & effective processes in product development, quality assurance and release management across the engineering team.
  • Instill best practices for software development, ensure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on schedule.
  • With a passionate, result oriented approach, drive teams to innovate and build robust software, allowing Pennant to maintain and grow its leadership position in this expanding market
  • Track and publish the KPI s and overall status of the team(s) to the senior management team (SMT)
  • Engage in strategic and operational discussions with the client teams towards strengthening the partnership.
  • Engage and partner with technology vendors towards various assessments and POC s to drive the technical roadmap of the Product.
  • Experience and ability to manage big teams (50+) is a must.
  • Working experience in Banks / Financial organizations or pertaining technology vendors is an added advantage
Skill sets/Experience:
  • Deep software engineering and complex program management experience with big teams
  • Strong program management skills with ability to independently manage multiple programs and see that all deadlines are met.
  • Strong communicator, with excellent leadership & influencing skills and adept at leading/managing cross-functional program.
  • Exceptional ability to think in structured terms about process and methodology and to translate into impact on velocity, quality, and efficiency and value team excellence over individual productivity,
  • Ability to attract, develop, and grow engineers to create a self-organizing, empowered, and motivated team.
  • Strong understanding of IT modernization concepts and architecture including Cloud, Containerization, Microservices and digitization is a must.
  • Understanding of Data analytics, AI/ML technologies and concepts.
  • Strong understanding and experience in SCRUM and AGILE SDLC models.
  • Experience in developing Java based platforms is preferred.
Pedigree:
  • Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or related field
  • Over 20+ years of experience in Software Industry preferably with 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in designing and developing scalable and distributed multi-tenant enterprise applications preferably for BFSI vertical
  • Technology and Process related Certifications will be an added advantage.
