3+ years of working experience with AWS.
2+ years of experience with Container technology such as Docker or Rkt.
Extreme attention to detail with a production discipline mentality.
Performs high-level, day-to-day operational monitoring, maintenance, support, fixes, and
upgrades for complex infrastructure, operating systems, workstations, and servers.
Provides on-call and after hours coverage for production loads.
Maintains knowledge of and ensures a high degree of security compliance practices for
various sectors.
Manages user accounts, access, and permissions to various systems and environments with
a high degree of authority enforces and practices least privileged access.
Coordinates directs and performs complex software installations and upgrades to operating
systems and layered software packages, and maintains them in accordance with established
IT policies and procedures.
Continually monitors and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing
appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.
Ensures data/media recoverability by managing and refining system backups and database
archive operations.
Plans and implements the modernization of servers.
Develops, implements and promotes standard operating procedures and schedules.
Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with
established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
Strong working knowledge of IP networking, VPN s, subnets, DNS, load balancing, and
firewalls/ACL s.
BS in Computer/Information Science, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
Good communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong experience working with Microsoft Azure, GCP, etc.
You are an AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
Strong experience with AWS Best Practices.
Strong DB experience with MySQL & Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS).
Configuration and maintenance of common applications and protocols such as Apache,
NGINX, NFS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, DNS and SNMP.
Experience with at least one of these: Splunk, New Relic, LogRhythm, Tanium, etc.
Experience in at least one of the deployment tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet AWS Elastic
Beanstalk, etc.
Experience with source controls mechanisms, such as GitHub
Experience with the issue and project tracking software, such as JIRA.
Knowledge of industry trends and can bring those to execution within a team environment.
You demonstrate a positive attitude generating enthusiasm among team members
