Job Summary Security Administrator Plan, implement, oversee and maintain server and network security vulnerability remediation and prevention projects. Job Duties & Responsibilities Monitor infrastructure (hardware, software & network) for new security vulnerabilities and determine options to remediate Ensure security best practices are implemented, monitored, and audited throughout the environment Actively manage, audit and review monitoring systems, taking appropriate actions for alerts as needed Managing deployments/rollouts of security and monitoring tools. Work with global team to ensure configurations are consistent and thorough Work with local and remote teams to quickly remediate any vulnerabilities and/or incidents Define and document best practices, isolation, remediation, and support procedures Assist maintaining inventory and asset configuration documentation Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations Mentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologies Carry out special tasks at Management's direction Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor s degree in computer science with a focus in security 5-10 years experience resolving and preventing security related incidents and vulnerabilities in a distributed IT environment Advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 & Windows 10/11, including major components such as Active Directory, IIS, SQL, NPS/Radius, etc Must have a solid understanding of Wifi, VLANs, routing and network ACLs Able to inspect/diagnose network traffic using tools like Wireshark Knowledge of Linux, Hyper-V, VMWare, Nutanix A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking, VPNs, MPLS, SD-WAN Solid understanding of PKI/certificates used for identification and authentications in various aspects including SSL/TLS, client authentication, public/private certificate authority and certificate chains A solid understanding of common protocols including HTTPS/SMTP/LDAP/etc Scripting common OS configuration tasks to easily deploy new security configurations across multiple servers/endpoint LAN Routing and Switching design and troubleshooting (VLANs, IP Subnetting, 802.1Q trunks) Strong communication and documentation skills Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently Must be a team player Open to occasional travel, both domestic and international
