Purposeof the Job

As an Architect you will be required tocreate scalable big data solutions utilizing on prem and in cloud technologies,define development roadmaps facilitating key data lake enabled initiatives(i.e. operational, analytical, advanced analytics etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with key business andtechnology stakeholders to translate business objectives to deliverablesolutions
  • Ensure best practice data securitystandards are followed
  • Coach and mentor data lake developmentteam members on technology andarchitecture
  • Create prioritized roadmap for platformdevelopment and create user stories for platform/data engineers to implement
  • Communicate effectively with bothtechnical and non-technical colleagues to enable understanding of data platformtechnologies
  • Help define standards for technical andoperational metadata, data administration and data lineage tracking
  • Design solutions for data governancerequirements
  • Maintain conceptual and logical dataarchitecture for all data types
  • Build processes for Data Life Cyclemanagement



Qualification :

Qualifications

Industry

Any (prefer Manufacturing, Logistics); willingness to learn manufacturing systems (OT systems and data stores)


Education

Bachelors or masters in Computer Science or Engineering


Work experience

  • ~10+ years of relevant technical experience with exposure to handling large volumes of enterprise/domain specific structured data
  • ~5+ years experience as Data Engineer in distributed software platforms in Hadoop ecosystem (i.e. Hive, Kafka, Spark, etc.) and / orcloud computing services (preferably Azure)
  • ~3+ years of technical leadership roles on production software (i.e. apps, enterprise software, BI, dashboards, AA/ML models, etc.)


Skills & Competencies required

  • Solid understanding of best practices in security architecture, data governance, data modellings, ETL and data architecture design
  • Proficiency in core relational and non relational database solutions (i.e. Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, HDFS, etc.)
  • Expert in at least one core programming language (i.e. Java, Python, Scala, R etc.), preferably Python & R
  • Strong written and oral communication
