Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Lead System Administrator with 8+ years of experience to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience managing Windows and Linux systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role involves firewall management, troubleshooting complex technical issues, asset management, and maintaining security standards. Exposure to DevOps practices and cloud platforms is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: System Administration: Manage, configure, and optimize Windows and Linux servers to ensure security, performance, and compliance. Firewall & Network Security: Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls to safeguard network security and enforce access controls. Software & Patch Management: Oversee installation, configuration, and updates of system software to keep systems secure and up to date. Hardware Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues across servers, desktops, and network infrastructure to minimize downtime. Asset & Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Issue Resolution & Support: Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and network issues, ensuring smooth IT operations. Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and standard operating procedures. User Support & Training: Provide advanced technical support to users, assist in system training, and improve overall IT efficiency. Security & Compliance: Ensure systems adhere to security policies, regulatory compliance, and best practices. DevOps & Cloud Support (Optional): Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an added advantage. Requirements: 8+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role. Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux system administration. Hands-on experience in firewall management and network security best practices. Expertise in hardware troubleshooting, software installation, and system updates. Familiarity with asset management, tracking, and compliance standards. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document and explain technical processes clearly. Basic exposure to DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments) is a plus. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including planning and executing cloud migrations, is desirable
