Job Description: Practice Lead (LAMP, MEAN, MERN)


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Practice Lead specializing in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), MEAN (MongoDB, Express.js, AngularJS, Node.js), and MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) technology stacks. As a Practice Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of developers and driving the successful delivery of projects using these stacks. Your expertise in these technologies, coupled with your leadership abilities, will be instrumental in shaping our practice and achieving growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the LAMP, MEAN, and MERN practice. Define and execute a clear vision, goals, and growth strategy for the practice. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team.


  • Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of developers, overseeing their professional development, performance, and well-being. Encourage a high-performing and inclusive work environment that supports the growth and success of each team member.


  • Project Delivery: Lead the successful delivery of projects utilizing LAMP, MEAN, and MERN stacks. Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Provide technical guidance and support to the team.


  • Technical Excellence: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, advancements and best practices. Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and skill development within the team. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to enhance their technical expertise.


  • Client Engagement and Relationship Management: Engage with clients to understand their business requirements, provide technical consultations, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional services and business growth.


  • Process Improvement and Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve development processes, methodologies, and tools to optimize efficiency, productivity, and quality. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, implement best practices, and enhance project delivery.


  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Foster collaboration and partnerships with internal stakeholders, such as sales, marketing, and other practice leads, to drive synergy and leverage cross-functional expertise. Seek opportunities for collaboration with external partners and industry experts to enhance the practice's capabilities.


    • Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience (12+ years) working with LAMP, MEAN, and MERN technology stacks, demonstrating a deep understanding of their components and ecosystems.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a technical team to achieve outstanding results.
    • Extensive experience in successfully delivering projects from project inception to deployment and maintenance.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
    • Strong client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in LAMP, MEAN, and MERN stacks, as well as related fields such as cloud computing and DevOps.
    • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and project management tools.
    • Prior experience in a leadership role within a consulting or professional services environment is highly desirable.
    • Any relevant certifications (e.g. PHP, MongoDB, Node.js, AWS) will be advantageous.
