Job Summary Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships.
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
  • Oversee activities of Sys Admin team
  • Manage servers, including e-mail, print and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
  • Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, and UPSs.
  • Ensure network connectivity of all workstations.
  • Administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
Skills/Requirements:
  • Any degree and 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Certifications in Microsoft, VMware, Cisco and/or Citrix technologies is highly desirable
  • Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems: Microsoft Windows 7, Server 2003/2008/2008 R2, VMware vSphere/ ESXi, Linux
  • Host level security practices.
  • Monitoring thru SNMP, Syslog
  • Specific expertise with Exchange 2010, IIS 7, Citrix
  • Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards including firewalls, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, and SNMP
  • Experience with database systems, especially Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2012
  • Knowledge of data privacy practices and laws, including HIPAA and HITECH, highly desirable
  • Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple responsibilities
  • Desire to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
