Designation: Assistant Manager

Location: Vadodara, Gujarat (India)

Job Purpose:

As a Sourcing Professional, you will focus on understanding products and their applications to source them globally. You will be responsible for sourcing products, building and nurturing relationships with suppliers, and ensuring that the company s sourcing strategy aligns with its goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Understanding: Understand critical product specifications for different applications and align the company s sourcing strategy accordingly.
• Sourcing & Fulfillment: Source products to meet customer and supplier needs, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
• Market Strategy Development: Develop and implement market strategies in alignment with the company s business plan to optimize sourcing efforts.
• Supplier Diversification: Expand the supplier base by targeting new products and seeking out potential suppliers.
• Relationship Management: Build strong, lasting relationships with new and existing suppliers, ensuring their satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
• Supplier Retention: Create and execute retention plans for existing suppliers while managing any complaints and ensuring resolution.

Qualifications:

• Education: MBA or Chemical Engineering degree.
• Experience: 2-6 years of sourcing experience in commodity chemicals, specialty chemicals, and contract manufacturing.
• Skills: Expertise in developing sourcing strategies for specific products, building relationships with suppliers, and negotiating favorable terms.
