Job Summary

1. PGS Risk Management Strategy

  • Accountable for partnering with the PGS functions to identify, assess, monitor and manage all applicable risks for all the PGS offices (such as Reputational Risks, Operational Risks including Information Technology, Business Process, Regulatory & Compliance, etc.)
  • Under the oversight of the SCBU CRO (Service Center Business Units Chief Risk Officer), develop and execute the PGS risk mitigation strategies in alignment with the enterprise risk management framework
  • Build consensus around PGS risk management approach with various stakeholders e.g. PGS Management, PGS Steering Committee, PGS Board, Enterprise Risk Management team etc.

  • Risk Analysis and Reporting
    • Responsible for partnering with PGS functions on the design, operation and effectiveness of controls to manage all applicable risks, prioritizing by key risks
    • Support and consult with PGS functions to devise a mechanism for identification, tracking, reporting and escalation, as appropriate, of all risks at various levels within organization
    • Monitor and mitigate to the extent possible, all risks impacting PGS, e.g. financial, geo-political risks, competition, local regulatory needs, social disruptions etc.
    • Facilitate the completion of risk assessments (e.g. RCSA, analyze strategic risks, situation risk assessment) for PGS at regular frequency under the oversight of the SCBU CRO
    • Aggregate and report all risks, metrics (e.g. KPIs, issues, incidents), risk analysis/assessment results and risk mitigation actions to the SCBU CRO, partner to provide to PGS leaders
    • Regular attestation to risks, controls and framework to the SCBU CRO

  • Lead risk-related forums / projects / initiatives
    • Chairs PGS Risk Management Committee meetings ensuring effective agendas, minutes of discussion and action items are taken
    • Work closely with PGS teams (BISO, Process Excellence, compliance and legal teams) to identify emerging risks and build consensus around mitigation approach
    • Participate in PGS management meetings / strategy forums / projects as a SME on Risk management.
    • Conduct awareness, education sessions within organization around Risk Management in partnership with the SCBU CRO

  • Enterprise relationship management
    • Act as a single point of contact between PGS and SCBU CRO
    • Education: Bachelors degree (any stream)
    • Skills Required:

    1. Direct experience in risk management (includes legal, compliance, auditing)

    2. Direct experience in financial services

    2. Experience / exposure to various dimensions of organization management

    3. Analytical and problem solving skills

    4. Strong interpesonal skills with ability to communicate effectively & influence leadership groups

    5. Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality

    6. Ability to understand business issues, strategies and compare risk vs. rewards
