Roles and Responsibilities

• Recent practical software development experience, including design, program build, testing/debugging, and implementation of multi-user business applications
• Recent knowledge and experience developing in Object-Oriented models
• Understanding of Monorepository concepts
• Understanding of Domain-Driven Design
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Good understanding of CSS pre-processors such as LeSS (or SaSS)
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5 and CSS3
• Good understanding of UI Frameworks likes Material Design, Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.
• Expertise in Angular 6 and above
• Good understanding of NgRx / RxJs / State management concepts
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Using unit tests to validate own code (e.g., Jest)
• Ability to work from design specifications and follow programming standards for enterprise-level development.
• Understanding of program flow and logic & OO design concepts
• Theory and practice of quality control and assurance concerning programming and design
• Expertise with an application lifecycle management tool, e.g., Jira, and version control, e.g., Git.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• A systematic, logical approach to design and construction
• Can provide clear, accurate, and appropriate written documentation
• Productive, with a can-do attitude
• Ability to meet deadlines while staying focussed and keeping close attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and IT colleagues, including good written and spoken English language skills

Desirable for Role

• Recent knowledge and experience in working with Node.js
• Ideally, experience in frameworks like Loopback/StrongLoop, Socket.io, Feathers.js, Hapi.js, Express, or similar.
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Experience in MYSQL, BigQuery, MongoDB
• Experience in Trunk based development
• Implementing automated testing platforms by the use of Cypress
• Experience in implementing solutions on-premise or in the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience in the development of mobile applications
• Experience in Linux, Apache, NGINX
• Experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies
• Experience with continuous delivery and DevOps tools and practices
• Understanding and awareness of IT industry standards
