Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Engineer Design Excellence to join our R&D Reliability team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in performing machine design calculations, simulations, and optimization studies to ensure mechanical integrity, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of our products. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative mechanical designs and contribute to the development of high-performance engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct mechanical design calculations and simulations to ensure structural and functional integrity.
• Analyze and optimize designs of components such as bearings, gears, and structural parts.
• Perform design optimization and lead Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives for cost-out opportunities.
• Apply design-for-reliability principles to enhance product life and durability.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical design challenges using critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Stay current with emerging mechanical design trends, tools, and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, project management, and production to ensure seamless project execution.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including 3D models, drawings, technical specifications, and reports.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet or exceed performance expectations.

Skills & Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2 3 years of experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Prior work experience in a special purpose machine manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong grasp of mechanical design principles, with a focus on reliability and cost-effectiveness.
• Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and simulations.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies and tools.
