Senior Software Engineer - SaaS/Cloud

Onshape (), a PTC SaaS business, is building an enterprise-class, cloud-based product development platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working on a one-of-a-kind 3D collaborative CAD application with cutting edge cloud, web, and mobile technologies

You will be joining our enterprise team to build features that help some of the largest manufacturing companies to accelerate their product development by adopting cloud and collaboration. You will be using web and server-side technologies to design, implement, and scale the Onshape SaaS platform.

The ideal candidate has a very strong background in building front-end software in a supportive team environment. You should be comfortable with building scalable, responsive front-end infrastructure, and tools through collaboration with the engineering team and incorporating feedback from customers.

Day-To-Day:

• Write quality, maintainable code with extensive test coverage in a fast-paced professional software engineering

• Write client-side code for web-based applications, create fast, easy-to-use, high volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.
• Experience building complex web applications using Angular, Vue, and Typescript
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems and writing automated unit and end-to-end tests using frameworks such as Mocha, Protractor, or Selenium

• Excellent understanding of modern web technology stack
• Deep understanding of web development standards: HTTP, HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with agile, test-driven development in a continuous delivery environment
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• 5+ years professional experience building complex, rich cross-browser applications with an attention to detail, scalability, performance, and maintainability

• Experience with developing and maintaining REST APIs in Java server code

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
