Value Optimization Lead - Body Commodity Job in Quess It Staffing

SKILLS AND WORK EXPERIENCE : Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in the Automotive Industry Good knowledge about Body commodity parts development, like design, performance & regulation requirement, and well- known product development procedure, like APQP or other similar procedure Good knowledge about related parts manufacturing process like injection, painting, chroming, wrapping, pressing and sheet metal techniques. Fluent in English and good communication skills TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: Plastics/BIW knowledge (injection molded, thermoformed, pressure formed) Vehicle regulations knowledge (ECE & FMVSS) Product development knowledge Team center Knowledge Vis-pro & Vis mock-up knowledge PLM/Enovia knowledge Working knowledge on A2Mac1 and Benchmarking websites ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive Engineering, Purchase, SCM to generate ideas, and complete technical & Commercial feasibility. Monitor progress from idea generation to Industrialization. Drive the Value Optimization Engineers from Body Commodity Engineering Development knowledge on APQP process, ensure all deliverables to achieve project milestones. Should be understand DVPR/DFMEA for new or redesign components Should be capable to understand the DFM, DFA requirements. Should be capable of monitoring the ideas from Initial to Implementation phase in line with project timeline. Should be capable of reading Moldflow, supplier FMEA & other validation reports Coordinating with cross-functional team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules. Execute the project plan, implement mechanisms to measure, record progress, and conduct ongoing analysis of, risks, and changes, as well as update/revise the project plan and report status. Should be willing to visit plant and supplier locations for trials and other support whenever required Support for Value optimization for cost & weight reduction for IAP programs Benchmarking of Competitor products and propose feasible cost saving measures.
