Role Overview

We re looking for a Backend Engineer who is passionate about building fast, scalable, and secure backend systems. You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to design, develop, and maintain the server-side logic and infrastructure powering our mobile POS solution. This is a full-time role based out of our Noida office, and it requires someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend services and APIs that power mobile and web applications.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.
• Own features end-to-end from concept to production and post-launch maintenance.
• Build, test, deploy, and maintain applications on cloud platforms.
• Ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and security of all backend systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues and identify bottlenecks in performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Perform peer code reviews and contribute to team best practices.
• Lead architecture and design discussions for backend systems and microservices.
• Continuously improve development processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Node.js and MySQL.
• Experience with PHP and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) is a plus.
• Strong expertise in developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of web server management (e.g., Nginx, Tomcat) and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and services like EC2, Lambda, SNS, SQS.
• Solid understanding of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience with microservices architecture and database design.
• Proficiency in Linux environments, including troubleshooting and log analysis.
• Familiarity with version control systems and branching strategies (e.g., Git).
• Experience with unit testing and maintaining high test coverage.
• Understanding of system design principles, including scalability and fault tolerance.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and a proactive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and experiment with new tools and technologies.
• Prior experience deploying and maintaining live cloud-based applications.
• Familiarity with tools like ElasticSearch, Neo4j, Redis, or Graph databases is a plus.
