About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Modeler to join our growing data team. In this role, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable data models that support our business intelligence, data warehousing, and analytics initiatives. You will work closely with data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective data models.Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement complex data models, including dimensional, star schema, and snowflake schemas.
Conduct data analysis and profiling to understand data sources, identify data quality issues, and define appropriate data transformations.
Develop and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data models are efficiently implemented and optimized for performance.
Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
Participate in data governance activities, including data quality assessments, data lineage tracking, and data security reviews.
Stay abreast of the latest data modeling techniques, tools, and technologies.
Mentor junior data modelers and provide guidance on best practices.
