You will join our Transport Planning department

As a Transport Planner in the REC team you will help deliver on a range of projects, in the areas of transport planning, traffic engineering, pedestrian planning and modelling, across our global business units /clients

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Transport model development (macro and micro). Tasks may include but not limited to model building, calibration/validation, model testing and auditing, checking and analysis of model outputs
• Assisting with scoping of client/PBUs requirements for modelling, transport planning and engineering
• Skills transfer to junior team members
• Delivery to timescales, budget and technical quality
• Preparation of technical reports
• Attendance at internal team meetings
• Contribute to our process of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing relating to transport modelling and traffic engineering across our transport planning business
• To work to high technical and quality standards.

• Masters in Transport Planning/Engineering with 2-6 years professional experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of transport planning and engineering process
• Have hands on experience in the use of micro-simulation software VISSIM
• Knowledge of other related transport planning and engineering software like Visum, Sidra would be desirable.
• Geographic information system (GIS) expertise (MAPINFO and ARCINFO) will be of considerable value
• Good working knowledge of MS Office tools, particularly MS Excel
• Ability to work well in a team environment and independently with limited supervision
