looking for a Data Governance Consultant to join the Human Resources Data Governance & Entitlements team. The team is accountable to drive data governance and entitlements initiatives for HR and ensure adherence to the new firm wide governance policies.

You will be working with the Data Governance Strategy & Implementation lead to manage work prioritization and delivery of the HR Data Governance and Entitlements program of work, as well as the operation of on-going compliance with the Firms Global roadmap to Data Policy 2.0 rollout and adoption into new HR Systems and Projects.

Daily Duties:

  • Support Governance Lead in implementing the strategy and ensure adherence to the Global Data Policy 2.0.
  • Create and implement processes and procedures associated with frameworks that support adherence to the data policy.
  • Support data literacy and governance framework goals by creating and maintaining knowledgebase content.
  • Support data governance engagements by creating training content and offerings that drive engagement and interest.
  • Conduct training sessions for the business and IT owners on roles and responsibilities under the Governance Policy.
  • Provide recommendations and best practices for data element, data definitions, business rule writing, and metadata management procedures.
  • Assist HR Data Governance Council and Business owners with creation and maintenance of toolkits, job aids, artifacts, information, and templates used in data governance practice.
  • Support preparation for and facilitation of monthly Working and Governance Council meetings with cross-functional leadership.
  • Oversight and collaboration with stakeholders adherence to guidelines and protocols for effectively managing the data assets with the data stewards.
  • Support functional Data Stewards in driving Data Governance activities for their scope of responsibility, including the development and maintenance of project plans and regular communication with key stakeholders to track progress.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to ensure clear governance and process ownership around data domains and concepts.
  • Collaborate with Data Governance (DG) and Entitlement Leads to report on and monitor delivery progress.
  • Work with DG Strategy lead to implement onboarding process for new HR Systems and Projects.
  • Lead projects to onboard new HR systems into the Data Governance program through aiding system owners in creating searchable, accessible data dictionaries and lineage flows.
  • Serve as a liaison between Business and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated, well understood, and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.
  • Provide guidance on data entry protocols to upstream system owners as it relates to impacts to downstream data consumers.

Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree is required; Masters degree is desired.
  • Over 7 years of experience working on Data Governance or Data Quality a must.
  • DMAAI / Data Governance certifications / qualifications / memberships as a plus.
  • Expertise in Collibra Data Governance is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with HR data is a plus.
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
  • Strong communications and influencing skills; ability to distill complex topics into actionable strategies.
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships, including developing and implementing robust and innovative data related roadmaps.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner.
  • Ability to solicit information from stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage deadlines; attention to detail and critical thinking is a must.
  • Strong experience with MS Excel (proficient in the use of functions, macros, pivot tables), PowerPoint and MS Project.
  • Aptitude for learning new systems and technologies.
