Job Description for eLearning Developer/Instructional Designer
Year of Experience 4-6 years of experience in eLearning
Roles & Responsibility:
? Organize complex information into hierarchies, flows, taxonomies, or other structures to clearly convey information to learners.
? Knowledge of andragogical learning principles and other notable learning design philosophies, strategies and theories, and the ability to apply those concepts to digital learning.
? Recommend learning solutions and learning modalities based on analysis of learning goals, organizational and technological constraints, and schedule considerations.
? Use a variety of learning modalities to optimize learning experiences.
? Analytical, logic and problemsolving skills for analysing and identifying user needs, proposing solutions and logically organising complex information.
? Develop innovative formative and summative evaluation tools.
? Develop learning solution documentation (e.g., storyboards, job aids, design plan documents);
? Consult with stakeholders to gather requirements and document concepts, processes, work tasks, and related subject matter.
? Draft scripts, narration, text and other content for learning solutions.
? Coordinate, manage and execute all necessary aspects of eLearning development and maintain an advanced understanding of trends and best practices
? Collaborate with Instructional Designers to storyboard module based on SME input
? Research, organize and create content in logical eLearning sequences for maximum learner retention
? Collaborate with Graphic Designers to leverage graphics and animations as needed to elevate the learning experience
? Create custom graphics and animations as needed to elevate the learning experience
? Ensure training content adheres to audio/visual technical specifications for mobile and desktop learning, as well as brand guidelines and industry best practices
? Thoroughly test, debug and troubleshoot across multiple devices and browsers
? Design and build module while incorporating stakeholder feedback
? Proficiency with various eLearning tools (i.e. Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia etc.) and solid knowledge of responsive design and advanced actions, and Learning Management Systems (i.e. Cornerstone)
? Intermediate to advanced skill in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, HTML5 and CSS and strong knowledge of effective Instructional Design, using either ADDIE or SAM methodology
