Overview:This opening is for Interiors software group at Collins Aerospace for software verification and validation for aircraft interior systems specifically seating. Requires a total of 08 to 10 years experience on DO178B/C V&V and software certification documents

Position : Senior Lead Engineer - (Software V&V)

Primary Responsibilities:

• End to end software Verification and Validation activities as per DO178B/C guidelines.
• Assist in preparation of software certification documents as per DO178B/C guidelines.
• Analyze, monitor and improve efficiency, stability of the system
• Ensures compliance to Verification processes and standard work requirements.
• Will report to Engg Mgr (SW) in Interiors organization
• Will be responsible for software V&V of the software according to desired specifications
• Will work with multi-disciplinary teams such as project engineering, software engineering, electrical design, safety and reliability

• Responsible for the seating software verification and validation
• Full time responsibility as Senior Lead Engineer
• Test software with Quality and optimize I/O performance.
• Reporting bugs and optimizing the system.
• Interface with hardware design and development
• Interact with US POCs for close coordination of the project activities.

Basic Qualifications:

• 08 to 10 years of relevant Industry experience with experience on DO178B/C V&V and software certification documents
• B.Tech/M.Tech (Computer Science/Electronics)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in White Box Testing, Black Box Testing and Integration Testing.
• Familiar with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
• Proficiency in updating the software requirements for the system requirements.
• Exposure to SOI Audits
• Well versed on DO178B/C Guidelines.
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity of different protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review process
