Data Analyst Job in Relx Group Plc

BASIC FUNCTIONS: This position performs data management and analysis tasks within the Product Master Data domain. Data Analyst will be mainly responsible for analysing data structures, flows and requirements for a given use case or an integration scenario which requires collaborating closely with various stakeholders and promoting the product master data principals as well as data quality standards. The role requires both technical and business-oriented skills in terms of understanding the business processes and the flow of data. Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL patterns, relational databases and cloud storage concepts are required. Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must.

QUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years experience in data management area with an analytical competencies demonstrated. Bachelor s Degree (Engineering/Computer Science preferred but not required); or equivalent experience required. TECHNICAL SKILLS: Proficiency with development languages such as Python, SQL,XML etc. Proficiency with various data types and formats including, but not limited to: JSON, XML, flat files etc. Proficiency with data analysis tools and processes. Excellent proofreading skills to see how data and facts can be linked together to create more meaningful conclusions. Ability and desire to learn new processes, tools, and technologies. Strong research skills. Attention to detail.

ACCOUNTABILITIES: Business support through data analysis and research. Modify pre-designed queries to assess data for research purposes. Independently run data analysis and statistics tasks etc. Run data profiles. Support business or other data engineering teams with data subject matter expertise. Complete new data evaluations to diverse audiences. Create data documentation including mappings and quality thresholds. Investigate, track, and report data issues. Conducts data review and verification and ensures corrections/clarifications are made in a timely manner. Strong level of intimacy within a specific data content area, preferably in master data management. Provide technical problem solving to less technical teams (customer service, consumer advocacy, etc.). Undertake and complete new data onboarding and/or production data management functions as assigned/required. Utilize various data workflow management and analysis tools. Resolve and/or guide data sources in resolving data issues within product master data domain. All other duties as assigned.
