Network Administrator Job Description

Hands on experience in the following skill sets are required:

1. Experience in Web Hosting on a Linux environment

2. Experience in Openfire, Apache, NginX, NodeJS and Laravel Servers

3. Experience in managing online server vendors such as Godaddy, Liquidweb, Mochahost

4. Experience in Computer Networking and Hardware Maintenance

5. Certification and proficient knowledge in Amazon AWS cloud services

Responsibilities in Brief:

• Ensure proper backups are maintained on project files by coordinating with the Developer team.
• Install and support LANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
• Install and maintain network hardware and software.
• Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
• Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
• Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
• Assign configuration and authorization of directory services.
• Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls,personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
• Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation
• Securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
• Create and control over all the login Details for Developers and Programmers
• Reporting network operational status by gathering and prioritising information and managing projects.
• Upgrading data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
• he configuration of routing and switching equipment
• Capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centres
• Proper documentation and updation of all databases and Backups
• Liaising with project management teams, Developers and Programmers on a regular basis.
• The support and administration of firewall environments in line with IT security policy.
• Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
