About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud infrastructure. You'll play a pivotal role in enabling cloud-native operations, optimizing costs, ensuring 24/7 availability, and driving automation across the cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage robust Azure cloud infrastructure for enterprise-grade applications.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and other DevOps tools to support seamless software delivery.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and cost optimization of all Azure services and environments.
• Automate cloud provisioning and configuration using Terraform, ARM templates, Ansible, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.
• Troubleshoot system and network issues; conduct root cause analysis and apply long-term fixes.
• Set up monitoring and alerting systems using Azure Monitor, Nagios, and Graylog to maintain SLA uptime.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure cloud architecture aligns with app design.
• Ensure compliance with cloud security policies, data governance standards, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Support containerization efforts using Docker and assist in Kubernetes environment setup (if applicable).
• Participate in rotational shifts to support a 12x7 production environment.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

• 4 7 years of experience in Azure Cloud Engineering or related infrastructure roles.
• Deep understanding of Azure services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, RBAC).
• Strong scripting/automation skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Azure CLI.
• Experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, Ansible, or other IaC tools.
• Proficiency in CI/CD setup using Jenkins or similar.
• Familiarity with Linux environments, shell scripting, cron jobs, and server administration.
• Working knowledge of networking protocols and tools like Wireshark.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across OS, network, and app layers.
• Exposure to security tools such as HashiCorp Vault.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Education

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer, or similar.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration.
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Python scripting for automation is a plus.
