Job Description Summary:
Rocket Software is hiring a application developer on the Engineering Services team that will be responsible for developing and supporting services and capabilities supporting SDLC and DevOps tools and processes leveraged by multiple software development and IT teams.Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure, and support systems and processes used across Rocket to provide effective, efficient, highly-available development services and tools
- Participate in the full application development lifecycle, from technical design to development, testing, deployment, and post go-live support
- Build and support data integrations using SOAP-based and REST-based web services
- Work independently on multiple projects against deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while consistently producing deliverables within agreed upon timelines
- Create and maintain technical and solution design documentation
Required Skills:
- Experience configuring, developing and supporting the Atlassian product suite (cloud and hosted) including Jira, Jira Service Desk, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Confluence, and Portfolio Understanding of continuous integration and delivery principles
- Hands-on experience with artifact & deployment platforms (Artifactory)
- Advanced knowledge of GIT, SVN, and platforms including GitHub and Bitbucket
- Experience managing dev/test/staging/live environments in a production support role
- Experience with one or more scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) preferred
- Experience operating project management tools (Aha, Portfolio for JIRA) preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
- Experience in an agile development environment preferred
