KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Create and maintain a robust automation framework using BDD and Page Object Model design concepts and Python as programming language. Automation tool to be used will be Selenium for Web and Squish for desktop applications. Use already existing Jenkins infrastructure to augment its CI/CD pipelines with the developed UI automation tests. Improve test coverage, primarily by automating assigned test cases/scenarios but also by analyzing failure patterns and defect ratios. Continuously improve the test frameworks focusing on easy maintainability and code reusability for coverage extension. Analyze automation run failures and update the existing tests incorporating the latest design changes in the software. Publish reports on test run results and defect metrics. PROFILE OF THE CANDIDATE: Bachelor s/Master s Degree in a computing related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years of experience with Test Automation of which at least 2 years should be using Python. (Exclude manual testing experience) Experience in developing robust automated test frameworks using design patterns such as Page Object Model and general Object-Oriented design concepts. Hands on experience of using any commercial/popular automation tool preferably Squish and Selenium. Experience on API test automation would be a plus. Working knowledge of using version control tools, popular IDEs like PyCharm, Jenkins job configuration, etc. is must. Ability to work across Windows, Linux is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
