Job Summary

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Learning and Growth:
    • The position emphasizes learning and development, with initial work alongside a senior QA engineer.
    • Focus on understanding QA responsibilities through feedback and guidance.
  • Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC):
    • Involvement in all phases of the STLC:
    • Requirement Analysis & Planning: Analyzing requirements, assisting in test plan creation, and developing test cases.
    • Test Execution & Defect Management: Setting up test environments, executing tests, reporting defects, and collaborating with developers.
    • Closure & Documentation: Compiling test results, participating in retrospectives, and creating end-user documentation.
  • Agile Participation:
    • Active participation in sprint ceremonies and communication of blockers.
  • WordPress Focus:
    • Testing WordPress-based websites and web applications, covering both backend and frontend.

Required Skills ("Must Haves"):

  • Testing Fundamentals:
    • Proficiency in functional, UI, and API testing.
    • Experience with web-based applications and test management tools.
  • Basic Automation:
    • Ability to automate simple test cases.
    • Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub).
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • HTML/CSS, JavaScript basics, SQL.
    • Browser DevTools, command-line usage.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills:
    • Analytical thinking, attention to detail.
    • Strong written and verbal communication in English.
  • Adaptability and Growth Mindset:
    • Openness to feedback, continuous learning.
    • Ability to adapt to change.

Preferred Skills ("Good to Have"):

  • Familiarity with Agile development.
  • Familiarity with the WordPress interface.
  • Hands on experience with automated testing using Javascript or Python.
