Job Summary
- Work Timings: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM (IST) flexible to extend depending on work.
- Lead storyboard sessions with bid/proposal team members and key stakeholders.
- Deliver completed written proposal responses to the Proposal Manager against agreed RFP deadlines, escalating issues as required
- Re-write / edit proposal responses from various stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, technical / product teams, programs, finance, commercial, legal and supply chain.
- Support the full tender preparation and submissions for Vinsys services offerings, ensuring full compliance with bid management processes to deliver the optimized bid in due time.
- Support the bid proposal manager and assigned bid manager (sales manager) to identify the requirements for each bid and ensure that all relevant business functions and departments contributing to a bid are properly informed of the background to the bid/opportunity, the pursuit strategy, and solution.
- Compile, edit, and proofread commercial proposals which contain technical content and designs, ensuring that these are presented professionally and concisely. Review and revise documents prepared by others and coordinate the preparation of those materials in a completed bid document.
- Determine the scope and timeline of new bids. Lead and coordinate the bid preparation, ensuring that other contributors provide information on time to the correct standard, answering the client's needs.
- Develop knowledge of business, its products, and services by reading and reviewing the previous bid and design documents and spending time with SME, sales, technical and commercial functions
- Review and improve other customer materials and develop a consistent set of standards for other commercial functions to follow
- Interface with the Sales and functional teams to develop commercial strategies, themes, technical discriminators, and innovative pricing strategies and solutions that will meet customer requirements as well as meet or exceed business goals
- Support the bid team during the bid evaluation phase by reviewing all customer documentation and providing guidance to the business and sales team about the opportunity requirements (written and implied), including qualification, capture planning, strategy, planning, design, authoring, review, and production of world-class bids and proposals.
- Proactively develop and manage a network of internal subject matter experts. Support the implementation of the centralized data repository, which holds customer data and market sector intelligence knowledge of Vinsys and competitor Intel to inform the business of commercial and technical trends/ requirements.
- Degree educated (ideally IT, Computer Science, or Engineering) or technical/professional writing background.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a writer on technical proposals in a technology-based industry.
- Writing experience in a technical authoring field
- Technical awareness, including an understanding of security systems, internet/network based solutions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong time management/prioritization skills
- Strong written English language skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand and write about complex topics. Strong attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
- Experience in handling multiple bids concurrently. Advanced MS Word and MS PPT would be an additional edge.
- Familiarity and expertise in Cloud, Mobility, or other emerging technologies. Team Player is self-motivated with a positive outlook and can prioritize and coordinate several bids at once, i.e., multi-task, work well under pressure, and be well organized.
