Job Summary
Key Tasks / Accountabilities
- Informatica Power Center development of workflows for our BI and HR systems
- Informatica MDM development
- Oracle development to support the ongoing expansion of our Oracle data store
- Understand the data tooling landscape and which solution is the best fit for which tasks
- Understand the Micor Focus data migration engine and work on development to keep the Informatica and oracle layers up to date with changes on production applications
- Understand and assist with the ETL Hub roadmaps in terms of technical design and build
- Unit test and peer review of code
- Produce all relevant documentation (e.g. solution designs, mapping specifications, training materials etc) required to fulfil the role.
- Work with the Test teams to define requirements create test and execute them
- Working with IT to understand and follow the Change and deployment process
- Work package estimation

- Complete and up to date technical documentation of all systems
- High quality solution developed and deployed
- Successfully learning other technology areas to be able to assist across the landscape
- Carrying out development tasks to the required standard and within the required timeframes
- Accurately estimating complexity and duration of solutions
Knowledge Skills and Experience
- Excellent Knowledge of Informatica (IPC and IDQ)
- Experience in Development and Administration of Informatica
- Demonstrable experience of ETL within highly complex disparate data sets across multiple technologies
- Solution Design and complex mapping experience
- Understanding of development tooling ALM, HP Agile Manager, SVN & Jenkins
- Excellent analytical skills
- Highly organised and structured approach to work
- Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Have strong communications skills to make presentations both in face-to-face meetings and remotely over the telephone.
- The ability to work in a constantly-changing environment
- Have flexibility in working patterns especially as you need to interact with people located in the Americas and Asia Pacific as well as EMEA.
- Experience of the full software development life cycle (SDLC), software development, testing methodologies. This should include Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban etc.
- Knowledge of and/or qualifications in ITIL
- Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience of contributing to the success of a range of small-to-midsize projects of increasing complexity and business criticality
