42Q (https://www.42-q.com/), a leading provider of MES cloud solutions, is looking for an experienced, analytical and proactive Software Development Supervisor to join his team in Chennai to produce and implement mission-critical software of our core application. This position requires to be actively involved with our multinational distributed team to provide effective solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities

- Analyze system requirements, and propose solution and scope designs;

- Develop, test and document system changes and new subsystems in compliance with the adopted development methodology, security, integrity and confidentiality corporate policies;

- Set technical direction and establish, prioritize and work with the development team;

- Provide direct technical supervision, hiring, establishing and tracking goals and objectives, assigning workload, training, and facilitating the performance review process;

- Mentor development staff with duties such as analysis, comply process, software design, prototyping, coding, debugging, test case creation, test case automation, test case execution, documentation, support;

- Create an atmosphere of innovation and enable professional growth;

- Interface with management, analysts and project managers to ensure that progress is communicated appropriately and scheduling is up to date;

- Share technical, product and procedural knowledge across any concerned personnel;

Qualifications

-Minimum of 2 years of experience managing (or supervising) a software development team;

-Minimum of 10 years of experience building enterprise applications;

-Strong software designing and development experience with Java and/or C++ distributed, and cloud-friendly systems. Experience with AWS services is a plus;

-Strong relational database experience. PostgresSQL is a plus;

-Development experience with web related technologies, such as HTML(5), JS, CSS(3). Angular and/or React is a plus;

-Source code version control (SVN/GIT), CD/CI pipeline, test automation and dev/test/prod dockerized environment experience. Kubernetes and Cypress is a plus;

-Education: Bachelor or MS degrees in computer science or related field.
