SUMMARY

SAP Ariba is the world's business commerce network. We help companies extend their business commerce processes into the Cloud, where they can use our Procurement solutions and the Ariba Network to find opportunities to cut costs, reduce risk, and grow revenue through better collaboration with trading partners.

The Team Source to Contracts (S2C), Quality Assurance

The products are Ariba Sourcing, Retail, Product Sourcing (Direct Materials), Contract Management, Analytics (Spend Visibility) and Data Enrichment platform. The software stacks or primary technology areas are Java, Web, REST, Micro services, Angular JS, Spring, Spring Boot and Machine Learning and Analytics on Big Data. Team works on test automation areas like Junit Automation, Rest API Automation, Selenium Web Driver, Protractor and Mobile Automation.

THE ROLE

The engineer will be responsible for end to end quality cycle right from understanding requirements, feature design, testing and automation strategy of software components across global deployments at scale.

This role includes critical business needs like to build innovative automation systems, eliminate dependency on various integration points within and outside SAP Ariba s Ecosystem by building simulator and build tools to eliminate/reduce manual effort and human errors. Provide technical guidance to team.

The engineer s tasks include:

• Work closely with scrum team (development, Product Management and scrum lead) to understand the feature requirement.
• Qualify the features through manual testing in the early development cycle and automate the flows for regression testing.
• Analyze and decompose various integration points (Simulators) within and outside SAP Ariba s Ecosystem and design a strategy to test and automate them.
• Automate 100% of test cases. Most of them need to be automated using Junit/TestNg/Rest and few on UI automation.
• Ensure zero regression defects by delivering high quality features to the customers
• Defect management and Test-case management cycle for the monthly and weekly deliveries

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• BE/MS in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.Minimum 1year to 4 years of relevant work experience, including development and/or test automation experience.
• Good coding & analytical skills in Java and must have experience in designing and writing Junit/RestAPI tests.
• Must have experience in coming up with customer aspect test scenarios for feature life cycle and testing.
• Ability to understand problems in software, isolate as need and file a defect with clear/detailed instruction.
• Experience in using any Bug Tracking, Test case management and Version Control Systems.
• Must have experience with at least one web-based UI Automation tool (ex. Selenium/Protractor).
• Work experience in spring boot automation framework is added plus.
• Experience with at least one scripting language ex. Shell, Perl, Java Script etc.
• Knowledge on Database concepts and should have an exposure for PL/SQL.
• Basic knowledge in handling Unix/Linux environment.
