SharePoint Inhouse Administrator
Job Description
As part of the Digital Workplace team, you are responsible for the administration, monitoring and performance optimization of our SharePoint system landscape. You will also support our end users in their daily problems with SharePoint technologies.
Job Responsibilities
- Take over configuration, administration and monitoring in our hybrid SharePoint environment, both SharePoint online and on-premises
- Administration in the Windows Server area
- Planning and implementation of system/platform maintenance and deployments as well as operation of our backup and restore services
- Ensuring platform availability as well as analysis and elimination of system faults (including health checks, monitoring and log file analyses)
- Independent identification of process and service improvements and their implementation
- Automation and standardization of workflows using PowerShell
- Scripting and automation of recurring processes
- Provide detailed architecture analysis, design and effort estimation
- Recommend best-in-class solution architecture identifying functional as well non-functional parameters
- Provide guidance in pursuing innovative SharePoint solutions to achieve our goals and objectives
- Strong understanding of SharePoint taxonomy
- Creation of operating and user documentation
- Work as both an individual contributor and team member on projects
- Collaborate with our IT operation specialists and SharePoint consultants for the optimal use of the system resources
- Use our ITSM tool to track and resolve issues and requests
- Research and evaluate new related technologies
Required Skills & Experience
- Successfully completed degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or comparable qualification.
- 3+ years of professional experience in the administration, installation and operation of Microsoft SharePoint on-premises in a high-availability architecture and Microsoft SharePoint online environments
- Experience with SharePoint 2010, 2016 and SharePoint Online, as well as Teams, OneDrive and Office 365 required
- Reliable handling of Windows Server, Active Directory, Internet Information Server and SQL Server
- Good scripting capabilities (Microsoft PowerShell)
- Ideally experience with AvePoint DocAve
- Profound knowledge in one or more areas of the following: SharePoint Enterprise Search, CSOM, SPFX, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS,
- Quick comprehension, problem-solving skills, organizational skills and flexibility
- A high degree of reliability and adherence to delivery dates as well as a strong quality orientation
- Ability to manage and deliver tasks independently
- Ability to work with international team
- Fluency English required, German advantageous
