Senior Technical Consultant Job in Sas

Primary Responsibilities:

Works and collaborates with others on consulting projects and special projects as assigned.

Provides reliable delivery of targeted project results through role as expert in the application of specific SAS methodologies, projects and technologies.

Ensuring consistent and quality output on data management and analytics projects for the client.

Manage schedules and overall project status to ensure requirements and project deliverable dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed upon with both internal and client stakeholders

key interface for clients and will work closely with the Client to deliver the project and ensure client expectations are met.

Provides deep knowledge and experience with SAS Solutions including solution configuration, solution functionality and troubleshooting.

Ability to map customer requirements and solution design to SAS solutions using different tools, techniques and interfaces.

Understands, utilizes and communicates best practice methodologies and industry standards internally and externally.

Self-motivated and able to operate independently with limited guidance and direction.

Ability to manage daily client communications and requests.

Mentor junior team members from a technical aspect.

Willingness to perform data management activities

Attuite / skill to handle government client is must

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Expert in SAS tool like BASE SAS, DS2 Programming,SAS Data management, SAS advance Data Management, data management concept.

Experience in RDBMS like Oracle , Sql Server, OS Unix, Bigdata Hadoop, Hive, spark , SAS data loader for Hadoop, SAS scoring accelerator for Hadoop

Experience in reading and writing data in Hadoop system.

Ability to communicate with and instruct people with various technical backgrounds, think analytically, write and edit technical material, and relate data management concepts and applications to customer IT and users.

Travels as business requirements dictate at management discretion.

Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience

Typically requires a minimum of above 10 years experience in data management projects, including at least 4-6 years using the SAS system, with execution of end to end 4-6 SAS projects.

Relevant experience in an industry (specifically in government, revenue department , BFSI, Telecom, or Retail) preferred.Public speaking, consulting, or classroom teaching experience also preferred.

Must have Banking and/or Insurance domain experience

Experience in SAS Language Programming

Hands-on experience in SAS Data Integration & Data Management, and preferably Data Quality Tool also.

End-to-end implementation of SAS Risk Solutions like Market Risk / Credit Risk / ALM

SAS Banking DDS (Detail Data Store) knowledge / exposure is preferred

Public sector project execution as preferred

Extensively worked as technical lead for large and complex projects

Experience in leading Anti-Fraud Projects for insurance company will be an added advantage.

Ability to drive customer requirements and design workshops

Experience in Cloud technologies will be an added advantage
