What does the job entail?The SecurityArchitectwillbe based in Bangalore, India,and willpartner withTechnology, Engineering, Product,Dataand other teams across the organization to embed security principles, processes and technologies into everything Sequoia does.As we continue to strengthen the company s security posture, you will focus on conceptualizing, planning, implementing and operationalizinginformation security intoevery stage ofthe Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)andinto Sequoia s products as well as strengthenthe company sinformation securityculture.

What You'll Do:
- Overall ownership and responsibility in securing Sequoia s systems,dataand our clients data.Define and drive security requirements forproducts
- UnderstandSequoia s complextechnology solutions, perform security reviews,identify areas where the architecture can changeor improve, make investmentdecisionsand design security architecturesto enhance securitycontrols
- Establish security architecture policy and guidelines for developmentand secure codingand ensure compliancewith SOC 2forHITRUST frameworkand NISTCSF
- Determine industry certifications and drive processes and teams to achieve them
- SME in the change management process to ensure allnew applicationacquisitions,releases,AWS infrastructurechanges,and integrationsare vetted andsigned off by security
- OverseeSecDevOpsin the hardening and securing theinfrastructure and network
- Champion and set the standard to strengthen the culture of securityand trustin Sequoia s office and team members based in India andglobally
- Lead and support security incident investigationsrelated to Sequoia sproducts and applications, conduct security-related eventsanalysisand provide correlation and responsesupport
- Use your deep technical expertise to penetration testauthentication mechanisms,and probe all company networks, applications,systemsand technologiesand prioritizeand collaborate with other teams tofix vulnerabilities that arise
- Manage and improve the Threat and Vulnerability Management (TVM) program andconduct threatanalysis and modeling
- Measure and report on security metrics and KPIsto the Information Security Steering Committee
- Stay updated on security trends and emerging threats while understanding their impact on Sequoia
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor s degreein Information Securityalong with at least10years of experiencesecuring and launching technology solutions (mobile and web)and at least one relevant certification (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, GPEN, GXPN, GWAPT, GMOB, GCIH, OSCP, CEPT, Security+)
- Familiarity and experience with OWASP Top 10,CWE/SANS Top 25, SOC 2,HIPAA/HITRUST
- Strong knowledge ofsecuringAWS servicesand APIs
- Expertise with tools such as Kali Linux, Metasploit Framework, Burp Suite,AppScan,WebInspect, static code scanners (Veracode, Fortify, SonarQube), Android Studio,qark,MobSF, Frida, Objection,ios-deploy,applesign, Charles Proxy, Pip3line,SublimeText
- At least 3 years of weband mobile applicationdevelopment experience using Java, JavaScript,Go,REST APIs, C, C++, Spring Framework, PHP, Python, Perl
- Pentesting methodology, reverse engineering, vulnerabilityscanning (SAST, DAST),research,exploit development and ability to clearly write reports and explain findings and remediation
- Strong communication and leadership, critical thinking and flexibility are key skillsin this role
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required along with the ability to build productive relationships in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
