About the Role:

India s leading Educational ERP Software company, a Deloitte Fast 50 Company and ET Growth Champion, Serosoft, is looking for an experienced QA Engineer (Manual) to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to the development process, and uphold the highest standards of product excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply test methodologies, engineering, and product knowledge to ensure the quality of the software.
• Utilize risk-based testing techniques to prioritize testing activities.
• Manage test environment and test data effectively.
• Write comprehensive test cases and plans, ensuring clear documentation.
• Perform functional, smoke, integration, and regression testing.
• Ensure business requirements are mapped to specifications and have sufficient test coverage.
• Collaborate with development teams and key business users in Agile development projects, attend scrum reviews, and develop targeted test plans and cases.
• Contribute to improving testing and quality processes for better efficiency using best tools and methodologies.
• Analyze requirements, develop test strategies, and plan, build, and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Ensure 100% quality deliverables and act as a gatekeeper before product release.
• Coordinate with the dev team on defect triage, isolate and report defects, and verify fixes.
• Advise on how product features should be designed with testability in mind.

Education & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ISTQB are an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Experience with QA processes and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Proficient in defect tracking and analyzing root causes using tools like Jira.
• At least 2 years of experience in API Testing using tools like Postman or JMeter.
• At least 2 years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Knowledge of BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) and experience in writing test scenarios based on BDD.
• Good to have knowledge of the Katalon tool for test automation.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Experience working with or on remote teams.
• End-user mindset with a strong problem-solving attitude.
