Business Need / Purpose of Role:

A well rounded, experienced HR Advisor to support the Company s HR strategy. Reporting to the Group HR Manager, the HR Advisor will aid in generalist HR tasks for the Brighouse, Aberdeen and Gloucester sites. This is a fast paced and varied generalist role which will involve providing advice on HR matters and supporting with ER issues. Duties and responsibilities will vary based upon requirements.

Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities But not limited to:

Objectives:

  • Act as a first point of contact for HR related queries, providing knowledgeable advice and guidance to the management team and escalating issues to the HR manager where appropriate.
  • Support and guide Managers in relation to Employee Relations issues.
  • Assist in production and delivery of training material to staff, including Management.
  • Supporting Managers with absence reviews, disciplinaries, grievances and appeals processes.
  • Identifying development needs and opportunities across the business.
  • Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations.
  • Assisting the HR Manager in monitoring and reviewing all Company policies & procedures to ensure they are compliant and effective.
  • Proactively contribute ideas in order to continuously improve the HR function.
  • Required to use information technology on a regular basis to input and maintain the HR System. Keeping employee files up to date.
  • Report on key HR metrics including employee retention, turnover rates and headcount reports.
  • General administration duties such as offer letters, termination letters, changes to Ts and Cs, etc
  • Guiding and supporting our team and demonstrating your professional courage and influence
  • Conducting inductions and exit interviews.
  • Change management
  • Assisting with the preparation & compliance for external audits.

Education

  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent (required)
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience in a similar HR Advisor/Business Partner position
  • Experience of working as part of a multisite structure
