Technical Program Manager Data Science

We are looking for a Data Scientist who will support product development and project delivery for our client or internal organization. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Overall 8+ years of total work experience in relevant 4+ years of hands on experience handling data driven decisions
• Experience in various statistical and machine learning models, data mining, unstructured data analytics in corporate or academic research environments
• Must have strong of programming experience in R/Python
• Experience in machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as like-Classification, Regression, Ensemble Modelling, SVM, Boosting Machines, Segmentations, Clustering, time series analysis and natural language processing.
• Familiarity with relational databases and intermediate level knowledge of SQL.
• Ability to think creatively to solve real world business problems
• Ability to work in a global collaborative team environment
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Good Presentation & Communication skills
• Flexible to travel for long durations if needed and work in US hours

Requirements:

• Experience leading or collaborating with a team of data scientists in developing and delivering machine learning models that work in a production setting.
• Minimum 4+ years of Data Science experience along with practical project implementation experience of minimum 3+ years.
• Proficiency in statistical and other tools/languages - R, SAS, Python, Java, Scala
• Combination of programming experience (C, C++, UNIX, Java, Linux, R , Python ).
• Exposure or knowledge in cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) or big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive MapReduce etc.
• Experience working with large data streaming technologies (like Spark etc.)
• Experience in one or more Bi tools like Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI etc.

Education: Bachelor or Masters or Ph.D. Computer science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related discipline
