Roles and Responsibilities

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with administering and developing software solutions on Atlassian tools specifically JIRA and Confluence
• Excellent understanding of JIRA workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, screens schemes, etc.
• Ability to write custom JQL (JIRA Query Language)
• Ability to construct Confluence pages
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Ability to work in a dynamic agile environment
• Experience in working with Git
• Experience in REST API or other REST based web services
• Knowledge and experience in implementing Atlassian plug-ins
• Excellent documentation skills

Desirable Qualifications:

• Atlassian certifications
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Java, managing SSL certs, Apache Tomcat, nginx and Linux environment
• Experience with Forms for Confluence including configuring and integrating with JIRA
• Experience developing Splunk queries, reports, alerts, dashboards, and knowledge objects
• Experience with Adaptivist Scriptrunner including building and customizing add-ons.
• Experience with system logging and monitoring
• Experience building custom modules and plugins in the Atlassian ecosystem

Responsibilities:

• Provide support for both JIRA and Confluence functions in an effective, efficient, and timely manner, including servicing user permissions, fielding process questions, troubleshooting potential issues, fulfilling project and enhancement requests, as well as researching and implementing Atlassian best practices
• Design, troubleshoot, and maintain spaces/pages within Confluence
• Configuring and implementing JIRA projects with various schemas, complex workflows (with conditions, validators, and triggered post functions), screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
• Gather requirements and determine ways to optimize and improve JIRA/Confluence setup and workflows
• Ensure code quality and participate in peer reviews
• Document playbooks and functionality implemented within JIRA and Confluence
• Participate in standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, review and retrospective meetings
