OVERVIEW:

Lead the role in process mapping, design, development, coding and drive projects to execution

Responsible for code reviews and ensuring unit tests and overall integration tests to help with the quality of the product.

Responsible for the definition and maintenance and business as usual of the new systems

Support the successful delivery of programs/ projects undertaken by Content team through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting.

OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:

Leadership

• Lead the projects rather than manage the projects

Process mapping, Design, development, Coding and QA

• Accountability and ownership for mapping the content production process and recommending a solution to automate using MYSQL, Python 3.x and Django
• Understand the business need and visualize/create web layouts according to specifications and requirements.
• Work hand-in-hand with rest of the team for functional implementation and also help identify coding patterns and anti-patterns and also support of the implementation of the patterns through code reviews.
• Helps break down, estimate, and provide just-in-time design for small increments of work.
• Collaborates with different stakeholders in variety of situations.
• Perform peer code and design reviews.
• Deliver quality web services, UI creation and promotes improvements in version control, continuous integration, project build, and project automation.
• Test-drives clean, quality code, working closely with other Agile team and relevant team members.
• Consistently follows software development methodology.
• Responsible for CRUD Operations and maintaining the data.
• Responsible for integrity, authenticity and confidentiality of the data.
• Adding features and functionalities to the app when and as necessity arises.
• Data normalizations and maintaining the databases/tables.
• Responsible for Data and Application backups and versioning.
• Completing tasks to schedule and real time maintenance and updates of project status/tracker.
• Resolving, chasing and escalating issues when the artefacts/assets are not kept up to date or dates are at risk. Proactively report and solve/escalate issues that arise from time to time.

Communication

• Ability to listen, to be clear and ensure youre understood.
• Effectively convey vision, ideas, goals, and issuesas well as produce data driven reports and presentations
• Manage communications between Managers and project sponsors and empowering the teams to engage in meaningful and efficient debate of priorities and resource availability.
• Motivate the team members to action.
• Coordinating with multiple team members locally and virtually; frequently for updates regarding the work in progress

Process

• Recognize problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent. Evaluate alternatives and find solutions using a systematic, multi-step approach.
• Consult with Director production and relevant stakeholders on development tools, production and process issues
• Suggesting and implementing improvements to procedures where appropriate.

Risk and Issues management

• Recognize that risk and issues directly impact the likelihood of success and that risk and issues must be both formally and informally measured, reported proactively throughout the lifetime of the production.

Others

• Compliance with company policies and procedures
• May be required to work on once-off projects/initiatives or ongoing project work as required or other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned from time to time

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have

• 5-7 years relevant work experience
• A strong understanding of Internet and intranet technologies.
• Experience in database programming and building web applications with database connectivity
• Experience with MYSQL, Python 3.x and Django required
• Ability to contribute individually and work well with a team, work optimally under scheduled deadlines, and have passion for delivering high quality output
• Good problem solving/Debugging skills.
• Physical ServerWindows Server 2012 R2, Web Server Framework: Apache
• Web Technology:HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap 4
• Visual Prototype (Optional):Photoshop

Nice to have

• Excellent communication (excellent written and verbal skills), influencing and presentation skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness

Qualifications

• A bachelors degree is essential
• MBA or Masters would be an advantage.
